Pipe Jacking Machinary

Pipe Jacking or the tunnel boring method is used to lay pipes underground with minimal disruption.  The only excavation required is in the construction of the pits, namely the Jacking Pit and the Receiving Pit. The jacking pit is constructed to allow all the workings of pipe jacking. This will be the starting point of pipe jacking including the insertion of jacking pipes. Additional equipment for dewatering the pits, pipes and cable connections to the pipe jacking cutter / boring head, hydraulic jacks and Theodolite are placed in the jacking pits. The receiving pit acts as an access to retrieve the cutter head upon completion of the pipe jacking works.
